For Breakers

Break Pricing Tool

Enter your break cost, markup, and platform fee — then tier your teams. Hobby Syndicate calculates per-team spot prices you can copy straight into Whatnot or Fanatics Live.

How to use it — 6 quick steps

  1. Enter your costs. Under Break Details, type in your cost per box, the number of boxes in the break, and any shipping. This is the true all-in cost.
  2. Set your markup %. This is your profit target above cost. 30% means a $100 break needs to net $130 after fees.
  3. Add your platform fee. Whatnot and Fanatics Live take a cut — usually around 8%. The tool inflates your gross target so you still hit your markup after fees.
  4. Pick a sport. NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, College, or Custom. The team list loads instantly with a sensible default tier for each team.
  5. Tier your teams. Use the dropdown next to each team to set Chase, Premium, Standard, or Value. Optionally tweak the tier multipliers to widen or narrow the spread.
  6. Copy or export. Hit Copy for Whatnot / FL to grab a ready-to-post team list, Copy CSV for spreadsheets, or Save Config to reuse the setup later.

Break Pricing FAQ

How are per-team prices calculated?

We compute your target gross revenue as (box cost × boxes + shipping) × (1 + markup%) ÷ (1 − platform fee%). Each team's share is proportional to its tier multiplier — Chase teams get the largest slice, Value teams the smallest. Prices are rounded to your selected increment.

What are "chase teams"?

Chase teams are the franchises collectors most want — typically teams with star rookies or strong brand demand (e.g. Chiefs, Cowboys, Lakers). They command premium spot prices. Premium teams are the next tier down, Standard are mid-market, and Value teams are lower-demand franchises priced to move.

Can I change which teams are Chase or Premium?

Yes. Every team has a tier dropdown — reassign any team anytime. You can also adjust the multipliers for each tier to widen or narrow the spread between Chase and Value pricing.

Does the tool account for Whatnot / Fanatics Live fees?

Yes. Set the Platform Fee % and the tool inflates gross revenue so your net after fees still hits the markup target.
