Breaker Tools
On-air toys for your live breaks. Roll dice for slot draws, spin the wheel to pick a team or player, and race horses or turtles to keep the chat hyped.
Team / Player Wheel
Pick a preset league, edit the list, or paste your own. Then click the wheel to spin.
Up to 24 entries at a time — labels auto-shrink as the wheel fills.
Winners are removed from the wheel automatically so you can keep spinning through the break. Click a chip to put one back.
Winner
Horse Race
Paste any number of horses (no cap) and set the race length. Each gets randomized pace for a nail-biter finish.
🏆 Winner
Turtle Race
Slower, sillier, equally cursed. Paste any number of turtles and pick how long you want to suffer.
🏆 Winner
Dice Roller
Roll 1–10 dice of any standard type. Use for slot draws, random-team rolls, or any break decision.
Tip: use a d20 to assign 1-of-20 team spots, or a d6 to pick a tier at random.
How to run a break & stream the races on OBS / Whatnot
The races, wheel, and dice are built to run inside an OBS Browser Source so you can overlay them on your Whatnot / YouTube / Twitch broadcast. Here's the drop-in setup.
1. Run a race on air
- Paste the team / buyer / spot names into the race textarea — one per line, or comma-separated.
- Pick the Race length in seconds or minutes (e.g. 30s for a tight finish, 2min for long break suspense).
- Hit Shuffle if you want the starting order scrambled first.
- Hit Start Race. Winner + full standings show below when the race ends.
2. Open broadcast mode
- On either race card, click 📺 OBS / Stream. A new tab opens in broadcast mode (no nav, no footer, chroma-green background, autostart on load).
- In that tab, press Space to start, R to reset with a fresh random finish, Esc to close.
- Copy that tab's URL — that's the link you'll paste into OBS.
3. Add to OBS as a Browser Source
- In OBS: + → Browser → name it "Horse Race" (or "Turtle Race").
- URL: paste the broadcast URL you copied.
- Width 1920, Height 1080. Check "Shutdown source when not visible" if you don't want it running in the background.
- Click OK, then drag the source onto your scene. Resize as needed.
4. Remove the green background
- Right-click the Browser Source → Filters → Effect Filters → + → Chroma Key.
- Color: Green. Similarity ≈ 400, Smoothness ≈ 80. The green disappears and only the race shows over your camera.
- Prefer no background at all? Change the URL param to bg=transparent and enable OBS's "Custom CSS: transparent page background" — or use the blue variant bg=chroma-blue if your camera has green in it.
5. Send OBS to Whatnot
- In Whatnot's Live Seller tool, switch your stream input to OBS / RTMP. Whatnot gives you a Stream Key.
- In OBS: Settings → Stream → Service: Custom. Server & Key from Whatnot.
- Click Start Streaming in OBS, then go live on Whatnot. Your race overlay goes out with the rest of your scene.
Same flow works for Twitch, YouTube Live, Kick, etc. — just point OBS at that service's key.
6. Broadcast URL cheatsheet
All params are optional. Combine freely.
- ?obs=horse, ?obs=turtle, or ?obs=wheel — which tool to show
- &bg=chroma (green), chroma-blue, transparent, black, scene
- &autostart=1 — start the race the moment the page loads (races only)
- Wheel: Space / Enter spins. Winners are removed from the wheel automatically.

7. Install Hobby Syndicate as an app
- Desktop (Chrome / Edge): click the install icon in the URL bar, or use the floating Install App button in the bottom-right.
- iPhone / iPad: Share → Add to Home Screen.
- Android: menu → Install app.
Once installed, the breaker tools work offline and launch in their own window — handy while streaming.
